Hypocrisy, the game is delayed Waaaay beyond other versions and then it's required to sell a lot. I have said it before, I didn't jump on this game's bandwagon since it was 1st revealed regardless of which platform it's releasing on. The game will likely end up good but not exceptionally great from what I saw, and honestly it's HUGELY overhyped beyond what its gameplay shows. But then again Hype IS what sells these days with new-age gamers.

I've seen may people say: I really want to play at least one or more of the following: MK8, SM3DW, Pikmin 3, DKCTF, NSMBU, W101, WW HD, SSB, Bayo 2, and/or X BUT the Wii U sales suck, am not getting one then. Lots of fake gamers, bandwagon jumpers and "Twitch-ers".

Just Shhhhhhhhhhhhh, MK8 is better than anything sony/MS are getting this year, and this just hurts you on the inside. Just be true to yourself and enjoy MK8 and quit your obvious trials to underplay its brilliance or its anticipated impact. I would add The Wonderful 101 to this list if it was I who thought it, but good list nonetheless. W101 is one of the most exciting and fun new games I've played in a very long time.
Nintendo takes risks where it counts and that is in Gameplay mechanics and art style, not just by making "New characters and story" and duct-taping them to the same linear QTE-fest derivative gameplay like others do. The decision makes sense.
1) If both were released on the same day, they would cannibalize each other's sales.
2) if Wii U version gets released 1st, sales of the 3DS version would be greatly affected, after all it's a portable version and NOT the full Smash console experience, so many people would forget that it exists, but the reverse isn't exactly true.
3) I would rather give the holiday/Christmas season to the Wii U version in...
Yes, better even if it's backwards compatible with controllers and peripherals too, like Wii U, honestly it's one of the best features of that console.
The Direct was EPIC. MK8/Smash are extremely impressive games with very deep and rich gameplay and content. Keep pumping great games Nintendo and Wii U will be more than fine, and personally up to now, Wii U has delivered one of the best console gaming experiences in my house since a very long time, severely underrated device.

One of the weirdest and most unique experiences I've had with a game in recent years. This IS how F2P should be done, count on Nintendo to shift the paradigms even on the smallest possible scale. I recommend this game for any 3DS owner looking for something fresh, weird and super addictive!
Lol, this "media" will always find a way to take jabs at Nintendo no matter how positive the reported news may be. Also fanboys can't accept how good a game could look on Wii U even if they see it with their own eyes, they will keep convincing themselves it's not "next gen" <- manufactured buzzword to make them feel happy about their piece of plastic.
One of the greatest gaming series ever, it doesn't need justification for a new game, however, I prefer that RETRO works on another project at this time and at the same time come up with interesting ideas for a new DK iteration that could be a completely new 3D DK game a' la DK64 or a big third installment that completes the "returns" trilogy, after the release of RETRO's new game(I really hope it's Metroid).

Even admins on this website try to underplay anything Nintendo, we get it, N4G is a nest for PS fans and possibly is getting paid by sony, but come on, EDGE almost always are harsh on Nintendo's games and deep down inside you know it.
